Cortina Italy

Cortina & Sicily Post Trip Option  - Mar. 9 thru Mar. 17

It's more than just a ski town. Cortina has a 1,000-year history, located a couple of hours from Venice. It nestles in the valley of the river Boite, surrounded by the breathtaking Dolomites. Beautiful people, challenging slopes and a bit of history make this Italian resort a hit with skiers. High in the Dolomites, Cortina d'Ampezzo boasts 140 ski runs and over 50 miles of cross-country pistes.

Do not miss the Sellaronda - The longest complex of ski runs in Europe! 50 km of perfectly groomed pistes with state of the art, fast lifts! Skiing over 5 passes crossing the Dolomites without ever removing your skis you will cross no less than 4 alpine valleys surrounded by the world's most beautiful mountains, the Dolomites, as defined by the U.N.E.S.C.O. World heritage sites. THE VILLAGE "Downtown" Cortina is essentially one street. But oh, what a street! With small cafes, luxury shops, 18th-century buildings and a mountain backdrop at every turn, it's as charming as they come. The nightlife is peaceful. The Enoteca wine bar should be one of your targets, whilst for a more pub atmosphere the Hacker Pschorr Haus, serving some of Bavaria's finest beers, is definitely recommended. This is an FSC Trip with many activities interacting with the other Florida Ski Clubs.

Your Accommodations - the Grand Hotel Savoia - a 5-star hotel. You will be staying in their Deluxe Rooms. The FSC will be commandeering the whole hotel for this trip.

Bike and Barge Italy

Bike & Barge Italy - Oct. 11 thru Oct. 19, 2019

Blending nature, culture and fine cuisine, this leisurely bike and barge tour along the River Po offers more than just a taster of Northern Italy. It explores celebrated cities of art, one of Europe's prime Nature Reserves, and a wealth of tucked-away rural hamlets, rewarding our daily rides with authentic regional dishes back on board. The tour starts in Mantua – in its heyday a major city state crowned by the Italian Renaissance – progresses to Ferrara and culminates in Venice. Along the way: Adria, once a key Roman port; the natural wonders of the Po Delta, famed for its birdlife; and colorful Chioggia, gateway to the Venetian lagoon. Finally: the glory of Venice herself.
